The Boat/Powersports Parts Specialist is responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory of stock and special order parts needed by our technicians and customers.

Pay: $15-$18 per hour based on experience plus commissions

*Saturdays required

Job Responsibilities:

  • Order, receive and stock inventory; maintain computer records; resolve ordering discrepancies

  • Sell needed parts and accessories to customers, as walk-ins or by appointment; recommend new items as appropriate

  • Research and order parts as requested by Service Technicians, for the purpose of repairing vehicles and units

  • Search catalogs and electronic resources for part numbers and prices; compare products and negotiate as appropriate

  • Pack and ship parts as requested

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of stock rooms and retail store areas

  • Gain knowledge of inventory to efficiently assist customers and answer questions

    Qualifications:

  • High school diploma

  • Previous experience working in a parts department helpful

  • Previous experience with automated inventory system helpful

    Job Skills:

  • Ability to follow safety instructions and promote a safe working environment

  • Professional demeanor and customer friendly

  • Detail oriented and well organized

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team, in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in following verbal and written guidelines to perform job functions

    Physical and Environmental Conditions:

  • Talking and listening, walking and standing, repetitive hand motion, using hands to grasp, pushing, pulling, climbing, crouching, kneeling, and reaching with arms/hands, are required.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently, to move objects.
