Introduction:

The International Tax Specialist role will be part of Boeing’s European based tax team in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with multiple international corporate tax responsibilities associated with the Company's operations in Europe and other countries as required from time to time.

The individual will be part of the broader Boeing Corporate Tax Department (primarily based in the US) and report to the Senior Manager of International Taxation (based in Amsterdam).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Advising on the direct and indirect tax consequences of (new) business operations or opportunities as the Company expands in the region.

  • Review and monitoring changes in local tax legislation, rulings, regulations and litigation.

  • Coordinate, support and review CIT / VAT filings with relevant stakeholders (external tax advisors, accounting, international finance) to ensure timely and accurate tax filings. Provide assistance with reviews and tax audits.

  • Assisting with tax planning projects to ensure a global tax-efficient structure

  • Preparation of tax provision calculations for relevant European entities.

The job holder will work closely with other tax team members, financial/cost accountants, legal counsel, business operational, regional leadership personnel, outside consultants, and others to ensure the provision of timely advice and guidance, accurate tax reporting and optimum tax efficiency.

The role expects flexibility from the job holder, as the team members are based across global time zones.

Please note that the support of occasional off-hour (e.g. evening) meetings and calls can be expected, as well as international travel required from time to time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in international tax.

  • Ability to work with limited supervision and instructions.

  • Ability to keep deadlines.

  • Professional education and/or certifications preferred (Bachelor or Master’s in International Tax, chartered accountant, CTA, CPA or local country equivalent).

  • Excellent English communication skills (any other additional language is a plus).

  • Understanding of complex cross border tax issues.

  • Understanding of income tax accounting concepts.

  • Ability to manage and support multiple tax projects (including planning, advisory, compliance).

  • Excellent analytical skills (including the ability to research, summarize findings and develop conclusions and recommendations on various tax issues).

  • Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience in an international organization will be beneficial.

  • Industry experience is not required, but would be advantageous.

  • Ability to make firm decisions, following explanation and analysis of a course of action.
