Kuehne+Nagel Air Logistics Consolidation Specialist in Amsterdam, Netherlands

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity within our Air Logistics Export Gateway Team in the Netherlands. We are actively seeking a motivated individual to join us and contribute to the success of our European Export Gateway in Amsterdam.

Your Role

As an Air Logistics Consolidation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing cost-effective air export freight within our Air Export Gateway Department. Your responsibilities include processing MAWB consolidations and providing exceptional internal customer service across our global network.

In this role, you will work weekly in rotating shifts from Monday to Friday. Our team of five colleagues works in two shifts, morning and afternoon, between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM. Additionally, there will be up to two Saturday shifts per month. The position is located at Schiphol and requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.

Your Responsibilities

  • Planning, dispatching, and optimizing air cargo consolidations with a focus on financial and customer-oriented aspects.

  • Handling internal customer service within Kuehne+Nagel’s global network.

  • Preparing and executing export customs clearance, including creating necessary shipment documentation.

  • Regularly communicating with third-party service providers, airlines, GSAs, and GHAs.

  • Calculating and quoting rates, as well as processing ad-hoc bookings.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Work experience in the freight forwarding industry, preferably in air logistics.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Perseverance and resilience.

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in written and verbal English.

  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends.
