Job Description: The job duties of anIndustrial Control Electricianrevolve around the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment in an industrial setting. Your responsibilities in this career include providing preventive maintenance, working to identify problems with equipment parts or wiring, and making the necessary repairs.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.

  • Confers with supervisory and engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.

  • Assists in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.).

  • Monitors craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required:

  • 10 years of electrical experience in industrial construction or equivalent vocational training and experience.

  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical components of industrial equipment.

  • Extensive knowledge of all types of electrical codes and standards associated with electrical work.

  • Knowledge of plc control wiring, VFD, servo, and analog wiring is ideal but not required; the company is willing to train.

  • Experience with 120 V or less (low voltage).

  • Large power systems and equipment.

  • Experience with rigid conduit, wire way, cable tray, PVC coated, and emt.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of reading, interpreting, and working to: Design drawings (isometric and orthographic), design guides, and specifications.

  • Contract documents and site coordination of subcontractors.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.

  • Must be able to pass a post-offer pre-employment drug screen and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history).

  • Must adhere to all company policies and procedures.
