Job Description

To provide a warm, welcoming, aesthetically pleasing atmosphere while exceeding guest expectations by providing professional children's programs in Camp Amelia and Camp Amelia at Night

Responsibilities

• Maintain standards of guest services and consistent positive guest experience as documented by J.D. Power and AAA Ratings

• Knowledgeable about all hotel amenities

• Attend and participate in Beach and Pool Operation meetings and monthly All Together Get Together

• Associate must be able to walk throughout property, have a valid driver’s license, communicate clearly and effectively to our guests, multitask effectively

• Oversee daily camp themes, properly complete and file waivers, registration, and recreation agreements, safely execute all field trips and excursions, actively engage with campers with structured games, activities, and crafts,

• Maintain clear communication with associates and guests

• Be knowledgeable of Omni's culture

• Knowledgeable of other Omni outlets and company events to promote to guests

Hotel Specific Essential Functions:

• Work daily camp themes to include field trips, swimming, crafts, and activities by providing guest assistance including but not limited to, providing guests with property information, on property directions, quality service, energetic execution and engagement.

• To enthusiastically greet and converse with guests

• Assist with routine cleaning of the Camp room and all toys and equipment (e.g. sweeping, cleaning, emptying trash, picking up towels and trash, organizing and inventory)

• Engage guests of all ages in different ways to explore Omni Amelia Island and surrounding areas with a variety of options

• Assist in all other aspects of the recreation department as needed

• Answer phones with greeting and assist guests with any questions or reservations

• Actively participate in the assurance of the safety of all guests

• Work holiday special programs as scheduled

• Treat everyone with courtesy and respect at all times.

Qualifications

  • Must have excellent customer service skills

  • Must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions and around water (ocean, pool)

  • Must be comfortable using recreation equipment

  • Ability to work with guests of all ages

  • Valid drivers license

  • Able to lift and lift up to 50 pounds

  • Able to stoop, stand, push, pull and walk or stand for long periods of time
