Job Overview:

The Mechanic Supervisor will plan, develop and supervise the activities of preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools and facilities in general. They will be responsible for proper management of human resources to fulfill productivity targets related to equipment maintenance.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Follow up weekly work programs, based on the work plan (TabWare maintenance program)

  • Supervise and validate the daily tasks that are assigned to the personnel in charge sharing with them the required guidelines for compliance

  • Report to the Manager E&M on the progress and implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance

  • Manage emergency work and provide effective solutions and report them to related departments

  • Management of work orders

  • Apply the HSES procedures and systems, for example, HIT card, BBSM, TRA and others. Verifying the proper application demonstrating knowledge of procedures

  • Use and maintain in good condition the tools, using them in a properly way

  • Identify, select, and orienting the personnel in tracking and resolution of faults in machinery and equipment to provide better service to our internal customers

  • Maintain the housekeeping in all areas involved and those assigned by your supervisor

  • Use in a proper matter the personal protective equipment and facilities which it applies

  • Contribute with ideas to improve their work and security environment

  • Follow up weekly work programs, based on the work plan sharing with your personnel the required guidelines for compliance

  • Maintain daily meetings with the personnel in charge to review, distribute and track work programs, provide a solution to requirements, and provide recommendations for improvement

  • Ensure that the roles and responsibilities of staff in charge have been defined and communicated appropriately

  • Promote culture by leading with the example for all matters related to safety

  • Contribute with ideas in saving energy, actively participate in the McDermott campaigns of Quality, BBSM, environment and safety. Reducing downtime and saving time in executing the work

  • Take participation in the MOVs campaign (Diffusion and workshop)

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience performing a similar position

  • BS: Mechanical Engineering, Highschool or related
