As Head of Direct Sales you are responsible for driving revenue growth across your region and leading and engaging your team of sales engineers. You will be instrumental in building the right strategic approach to achieve targets. As this is a remote position working in the field, you can be located anywhere across the region, with the expectation to visit the office in Alsbach-Hähnlein, Germany as required.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Build a cross-functional account management approach

  • Support and implementation of launch strategies for new product launches from a sales perspective

  • Provide input as “VOC” for the product management team

  • Securing order and growth targets – short, medium and long term

  • Responsibility for the achievement of defined key figures (e.g. funnel, order intake, coverage of the customer target group, sales standard margin) with regard to the annual target as well as planning during the year

  • Leadership and support for the further development of a team of 8 sales engineers

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor degree in sales or technical background, additional studies or similar qualification in the field of business administration desirable

  • At least 5 years of management experience in the field of global sales in areas of packaging, pharmaceuticals or industrial.

  • Experience in setting up and optimizing structures and processes in sales

  • Strong leadership skills, entrepreneurial thinking and acting, strong team orientation, strong communication skills

  • Fluent in written and spoken English and German. A third language is a plus

  • Leadership experience in an international environment
