Equifax is searching for a Security Software Engineer - Specialist to implement security solutions independently to protect Equifax digital assets. Execute and define processes to operationalize security capabilities enterprise wide. Work with decision makers in other departments to define security protocols and to secure technology systems. Define operation procedures which can be followed by the operators of security tools. Identify improvement opportunities in managing security architecture, design, policies and controls. Ensure that all security policies are followed and that information and systems are secure.

What you will do You will engage in and improve the software development lifecycle - from inception and design, through development, deployment, operation and refinement. You will influence and design infrastructure, architecture, standards and methods for large-scale systems. You will support services prior to production via infrastructure design, software platform development, load testing, capacity planning and launch reviews. You will maintain services during deployment and in production by measuring and monitoring key performance and service level indicators including availability, latency, and overall system health. You will automate system scalability and continually work to improve system resiliency, performance and efficiency. You will practice sustainable incident response as part of an on-call rotation and through blameless postmortems. You will remediate tasks within a corrective action plan via sustainable, preventative, and automated measures whenever possible.

What experience you need BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics or mathematics), or equivalent job experience required. 7 years of experience working in a Software Engineering role. 3 years of experience with Terraform or CloudFormation or other IaC technologies. Demonstrated experience in languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go, Ruby, Java, C#, Perl, (GitHub). 3 years of experience developing and/or administering software in a public cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure). Demonstrable cross-functional knowledge with systems, storage, networking, security and databases. Proficiency with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) tooling and practices. Knowledge on how to build always-on, distributed applications.

What could set you apart 2 years experience with logging and SIEM solutions. 2 years experience with Cyber Security/Malware or Forensic Analysis/Incident Response tools. 2 years experience with Vulnerability Assessment tools (ie. Qualys, BurpSuite). 2 years experience working with networking appliances/firewalls. 2 years experience working in regulated spaces, eg. FedRAMP, PCI, FISMA, etc. Experience in validation and developing test cases to ensure functional and performance objectives. Have experience leading software engineering projects. Ability to communicate with both technical and non technical employees.
