Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior HVAC Estimating Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing our HVAC estimating department, ensuring accurate and timely estimation of project costs, fostering strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams, and driving the overall success of our HVAC projects through precise cost forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage the HVAC estimating team, providing guidance, mentoring, and training to ensure accurate and consistent estimating practices.

· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to understand project requirements and scope, ensuring comprehensive and accurate estimates.

· Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements for HVAC systems.

· Develop detailed cost estimates for HVAC projects, including materials, labor, subcontractor expenses, equipment, permits, and other relevant costs.

· Utilize estimating software and tools to create accurate and competitive estimates, while continuously exploring opportunities for process improvement.

· Collaborate with procurement teams to source and evaluate materials, equipment, and subcontractor bids to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.

· Prepare and present clear and professional proposal documents to clients, highlighting the scope, costs, and value of our HVAC solutions.

· Assist in negotiation processes with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to achieve favorable terms and pricing.

· Stay updated with industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new technologies to ensure our estimates remain competitive and relevant.

· Participate in project kickoff meetings to provide insights on estimated costs and support the successful transition of projects from estimation to execution.

· Collaborate with the finance department to monitor project budgets, actual costs, and cost-to-complete projections, identifying any discrepancies or deviations.

· Provide guidance and support during value engineering discussions, seeking ways to optimize costs while maintaining project quality and scope.

· Foster strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, serving as a point of contact for estimating-related inquiries and negotiations.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

· Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in HVAC estimating, with a track record of successful project estimation and management.

· In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, components, materials, and installation processes.

· Proficiency in using HVAC estimating software and tools.

· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and reliable cost estimates.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and interface with clients and partners.

· Leadership experience, including managing a team of estimators.

· Negotiation skills for effective vendor and subcontractor interactions.

· Solid understanding of construction contracts, specifications, and industry regulations.

· Problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.

· Results-oriented approach with a commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.

· Professional certifications related to estimating or HVAC systems (optional but beneficial).
