The role.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Quality Management and Product Safety (QM & PS) matters for all designated countries in the Americas. (AR, BR, CA, CL, CO, MX, PE and US)

  • Mentor and support initiatives related to Product Safety to ensure that product safety activities are in line with internal and external regulations.

  • Prepare the annual Product Safety Report for all assigned countries.

  • Coordinate and support country ISO 9001 and related certifications if locally required in alignment with Headquarters quality team.

  • Guide and support the implementation of the Integrated Management System (IMS) where applicable.

  • Implement and ensure, together with local Finance, a professional non-conformance (NC) management and non-conformance costs (NCC) reporting.

  • Collaborate with the global QM&PS network and business accountable units (e.g., R&D, Procurement, Factories, etc.) to achieve quality business goals.

  • Ensure that local country Instructions & Regulations (e.g., for PLM, QM&PS, …) are reviewed regularly and support processes (e.g., upload/publishing of updated or new instructions, …).

  • Facilitate vital coordination between divisional support and the Quality Team at the headquarters.

  • Conduct tool and methods training for designated countries.

  • Implement the global quality programs within assigned countries and supervise the efficiency of these programs.

  • Promote quality improvement methods and improve process performance management (e.g., 8D, RCA, FMEA) with respect to agile/lean thinking.

  • Promote a quality-centric mentality among managers and employees by highlighting role models and disseminating standard processes, with a specific focus on digital solutions.

  • Support special topics on demand such as e.g., Escalations, Product Safety investigation.

  • Conduct internal audits and assessments (for the assigned countries), including preparation, definition and follow up of measures.

  • Participate and support, virtually or on-site, in external audits such as e.g., ISO 9001

  • Analyze results of regular customer happiness surveys and customer feedback, e.g., Net Promoter Score (NPS). Define and follow-up on QM&PS measures for the related countries.

  • Ensure close teamwork and alignment with country, factory and division support counterparts.

Your profile.

  • BS in Engineering or Business Administration

  • 3 – 5+ years in quality management

  • Influence leading teams without authority

  • Background in industrial products in middle to heavy industries is preferred

  • Experience in international business (would be an add-on)

  • Six Sigma Certification preferred

  • Up to 33% travel, domestic and international

The pay range for this position is $97,500 - $167,200. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
