Engineering Associates Manager Permit - Alpharetta, GA in Alpharetta, Georgia

Engineering Associates, LLC, a subsidiary of Dycom Industries, is a specialized engineering consulting firm that provides state-of-the-art engineering and design services for the telecommunications industry. We are seeking an Experienced Permit Manager for work in Alpharetta, GA.

Overview:

Under general direction, the Permit Manager is responsible for the development and collection of all necessary documents required for obtaining permits for assigned telecom projects. The Permit Manager will supervise the permit team and work with various teams within the organization on a variety of administrative tasks. The Permit Manager will work with engineering supervisors, project managers, and vendors to obtain necessary documents required for obtaining permits and will facilitate resolution to any conflicts that arise during the permitting. Shall track multiple, concurrent permit submittal and report to upper management regarding status and risk.

Responsibilities:

  • May be required to fulfil any or all of the responsibilities of an Associate Permit Specialist, Permit Specialist, or Lead Permit Specialist

  • Responsible for permit status from submittal to approval

  • Access various databases that provide engineering and facility assignment records.

  • Schedules, submits and tracks permit to meet critical engineering design due dates.

  • Perform daily assigned tasks as related to specific functions within the project.

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry as directed/needed.

  • Performs daily assigned tasks as related to specific functions that may include any combination of drawings, review, creation or update of permits.

  • Completes Permit Tracking Tool (PTT) training: access level Permit Supervisor

  • Complete municipality specific training as needed

  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and permitting requirements independently.

  • Intermediate Excel, Word skills

  • Will be required to train others

  • Monitor and control quality

  • Report metrics as required to executive management

  • Willingness to cross train

  • General clerical duties, tasks, or special projects as required or assigned

  • May be required to convert and manipulate CAD drawings into permit drawings.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • Minimum of 1-10+ years of experience in permitting

  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and experience working with team members on large scale projects

  • Skilled in MS Office skills including Excel and Word

  • Experience working with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Forms

  • Working knowledge of CAD and Pole Attachment applications

  • Detailed-Oriented; Organized; Work effectively in a team environment; Drive; Initiative; Integrity.

  • Ability to learn new customer computer applications.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, other employees, and management.

Work Environment:
