Job Summary:

LG Electronics / MarketSource is currently searching for a Regional Field Operations Manager to partner with our client’s retail program. The Regional Field Operations Manager focuses on building and maintaining a highly motivated, results driven sales organization while supporting retail partners for our clients. This position will work directly with the client’s field sales management team while providing personnel operational guidance for a team of remote Area Territory Representatives.

The Region Field Operations Manager is responsible for the placement of a large, high quality Area Territory Representative team. The Region Field Operations Manager will coach, train, develop, and mentor Area Territory Representatives in cooperation with the client’s sales management team. Also assists the Program Director in building and executing market retailer account plans, partner with the client’s sales management team to drive innovation and value, and ultimately drive sales results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establishes regional and individual performance objectives with a high level of accountability

• Coordinates, summarizes, and presents field data related to Area Territory Representative performance

• Working through Program Operations and Sales Support teams to ensure that team schedules reflect the strategy of the Right Store, the Right Time, the Right Person, executing the Right Activity

• Strives for operational excellence in all areas

• Audits and approves expense reports and time & attendance of on Area Territory Representative direct reports ensuring financial accountability

• Provides Excellent Client Customer Service

• Ensures any client concerns are resolved effectively and promptly

• Establishes an environment of excellent communication in content and cadence

• Shares best practices with other Regions to drive sales performance

• Proactive, self-motivated, an entrepreneurial “can do” attitude

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor ‘s Degree in Business Administration or 5+ years of related retail field experience required

• 3-5 years of experience in a retail environment driving sales in Home Appliances, Home Entertainment or Home Technology

• 3 years sales management or human resources experience preferred

Supervisory or Management Responsibility/Decision Making Level:

• Interviews, hires, and manages a team of 40+ full and part-time on Area Territory Representatives and 10+ Brand Merchandisers in cooperation with the client’s sales management team.

• Communicates clear and specific job expectations holding direct reports accountable to expectations

• Evaluates Area Territory Representative’s job performance providing timely, appropriate feedback

• Evaluates and makes decisions on the Area Territory Representative’s performance-based pay increases, bonuses, and promotions

• Manages the progressive discipline process for the Area Territory Representatives including corrective actions and terminations

• Coaches, trains and develops the Area Territory Representatives informally and through formal training programs, providing both informal (e.g., verbal coaching) and formal (e.g., written evaluation) job performance-based feedback

• Ensures that all performance reviews and call reports are completed on time

• Communicates client & MarketSource objectives to the Area Territory Representative

• Communicates and manages MarketSource succession planning for the Area Territory Representative

• Takes appropriate action to minimize turnover

• Visits major assigned markets as needed

Requisite Abilities and/or Skills:

• Must have a documented track record of success in retail sales, retail sales management, and managing in an aggressive sales environment

• High tolerance for ambiguity demonstrated in the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities, responsibilities and business needs

• Ability to managed a large remote sales team

• Highly evolved time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

• Ability to communicate with the client’s sales field management in a professional and timely manner

• Demonstrated leadership, motivational and influencing skills

• Proactive, self-motivated, an entrepreneurial “can do” attitude.

• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Windows, Internet

Additional Job Requirements:

• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing and moving items

• Requires the ability to move around the store, assist customers and maneuver merchandise when necessary

• Performs additional job duties as assigned

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds independently

• 40% travel
