How does this role contribute to our collective success?

The Ceded Reinsurance Finance and Operations function is responsible for delivering a strategic and forward-looking global organization that will:

• Advance the Company’s growth and profitability goals through the enablement of the Ceded strategy.

• Provide clear accountability for outward reinsurance contracts administration, outwards reinsurance controls and outward reinsurance reporting.

• Drive process excellence and better data and analytics through technological enablement and partnership with Genpact.

What will you do in this role?

The Ceded Reinsurance Senior Analyst - Finance (CRA) will report to the Ceded Re Lead who reports to the Global Head of Ceded Reinsurance Finance and Operations. The CRA will provide oversight and operational support for ceded reinsurance accounting and other related ceded reinsurance activities.

• Global Financial, Operational and Reporting Support

• Have a working knowledge of ceded reinsurance contracts and resulting reporting requirements to assure ceded premiums and loss calculations are compliant

• Perform ceded close administration and coordination

• Oversee the administration, closing and analyzing results of ceded systems – AXIS Reinsurance Calculator (ARC)

• Support quarterly accruals for ceded contractual obligation such as Reinstatement premium and provisions

• Manage ceded contract premium adjustments and market reporting

• Oversee various ceded technical and cash reconciliations

• Oversee cash controls, tracking and reconciliation for ceded receipts and disbursements including ProCede application controls

• Identify and support process optimization opportunities and technology initiatives

• Develop strong relationships with internal and external clients to ensure accurate communication and timely response to inquiries

• Working knowledge of foreign currency exchange related to currency conversion and settlements

• Support departmental compliance with operational controls including, but not limited to SOX controls

About You:

What you need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent

• Range of 3-7 years’ experience in reinsurance reporting

• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Advanced excel knowledge a must.

What we prefer you to have:

• Internationally recognized accounting qualification pursuit or equivalent experience (CPA, ARe, CPCU) a plus

• Retrocession and / or third-party capital industry knowledge with operations and reporting experience a plus

• Experience with ceded reinsurance and financial systems a plus (ProCede and Oracle/SmartView)

For this position, we expect to offer a base salary in the range of USD 72K - 121K. The specific salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors, including the experience of the successful candidate and their work location.
