Job Description

CSMART is currently looking for Electrical Instructors - for 40 hours per week to support the Operations department.

Reporting to the Principal Instructor Technical, this role has a particular focus on Crew Resource Management, current and emerging technologies, and procedures achieved by training and simulations.

As Instructor (Electrical), your responsibilities, amongst others, will include:

  • Delivering training to ship-board technical staff

  • Delivering the courses according to the CSMART course delivery process

  • Developing courses / new procedures to be implemented onboard ships

  • keeping up to date with current practices and technology

  • Liaise with Operations Support and other instructors to ensure everything is prepared prior to start of courses

  • Following up with ‘overperforming’ and ‘underperforming’ participant process

  • restore equipment and deficiencies

Requirements & Experience

  • Experience should be typically be or have been in the role of 1st Engineer at minimum.

  • Experience as a Senior Engineer / Superintendent and Subject Matter Experts (SME) in Marine Engineering is valuable

  • Cruise Ship experience is preferred

  • Experience in teaching/instructing would be an asset

Skills (Technical / Language / Personal Skills)

  • Knowledge of computer, networks and MS Office365

  • Fluent written and verbal in English language

  • Strong interpersonal- and communication skills

  • works well in a multi-cultural team

  • ability to work unassisted
