Essential Responsibilities
Identify, develop, evaluate, introduce, and manage engineering solutions for product protection and control system technology needs.
Study of customer requirements, define project specification
Control and Protection Systems design for Power Plants, Transmission and Distribution substations Basic / detailed design such as:
- single line protection and metering diagrams;
- tripping tables/matrix, protection logic diagrams, DC and AC power supply distribution
- electrical schematics of protection and control system;
- monitoring and alarm schematics, SCADA system block diagram (architecture), interlocking diagrams, I/O signal list (hardware/software)
- cubicle design, cable list, wiring diagrams, cable core diagrams and bill of materials;To build protection applications as per GE and customer's protection philosophy and project requirements; to make configuration of protection relays (busbar, line differential, distance, transformer protection); testing (functional testing of devices and testing of panels), organisation of pre-FAT and FAT and to carry out site commissioning for protection solutions;
To interact with the clients on technical subjects
To build project technical documentation
hotline support to clients within service and framework contracts
To support tendering with protection application solutions
To prepare training materials (workshop, presentations) and to give customer
trainings
Documentation management for protection devices and solutions (brochures, manuals)
Sales support
Qualifications/Requirements
Education: High school diploma (protection systems in electrical power industry)
Knowledge/experience: proven record of commissioning of MiCOM or/and GE Multilin devices.
Working experience: 5 years
Field - proven knowledge of substation communication protocols
Experience with Engineering Base is a significant plus
Understanding of modern technologies in substation automation (especially digital substations);
Desired Characteristics
Experience with computer network, switches, routers
Fluent in English
Fluent in Russian
Communication skills, mature interpersonal acumen, effective interaction with diverse groups
