You will ensure that we comply with all local indirect taxes including VAT, GST, sales tax, and excise tax, among others. You will also ensure the timely filing of returns and payments, so we comply with local regulations and ensure the accurate and timely reporting of our financial statements. To succeed in this role, you must understand the accounting entries for these taxes and ensure we are accounting appropriately. In some cases, you may deal directly with local tax authorities to handle snap audits and to help prepare documentation to support them.
How you will contribute
You will:
Perform tax-related tasks including tax compliance and advisory services to internal clients and management team;
Checking tax returns, including but not limited to CIT, WHT, VAT prepared by the third party for completeness and accuracy;
Tax and statistical reports submission, as well as reporting to the National Bank of Kazakhstan;
Reflecting of the tax transactions in accounting databases;
Preparation of reconciliation of tax reporting and tax accounts;
Assistance in audit procedures by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations;
Close work with government bodies.
What you will bring
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career. You will bring experience and knowledge in:
University Degree in Economics/ Finance/ Accounting;
Good understanding of tax laws, accounting, Civil Code and IFRS;
Experience of preparing CIT, VAT, WHT with limited supervision;
Strong knowledge of international and local taxation;
Upper intermediate English (reading, speaking and writing skills);
Confident user of MS Excel and SAP system, SONO, Taxpayer Cabinet;
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task;
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with people at all organizational levels.
