Research Chemist - JR2410396

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Senior Research Chemist, you will work with chemists, engineers, and technicians working on next generation technologies in the Adhesives & Sealants Formulation Group. You will drive both daily and strategic project deliverables in the adhesives and sealants innovation pipeline, managing timelines associated with projects, mentoring technical team members, and communicating key results to stakeholders. You will have a understanding of safe operating procedures and behaviors.

Key Responsibilities * Plan, direct, and execute research towards the development of novel adhesives and sealants. * Advance projects in cross-functional teams, involving research, development, manufacturing, and commercial team members. * Mentor team members in experimental design and directing research to answer key questions. * Generate practical new ideas for solving technical problems. * Proactively advance intellectual property capture of new key technologies, working with attorneys and team members to draft patents and help develop cross business unit strategies for key discoveries. * Work with global development labs in Pennsylvania, France, and China to develop and scale technologies. * Functional management of specific projects & people. Work with department head to assess talent. * Proactively advance IP capture of new key technologies, coordinating across R&D and the legal teams to build strong patent positions.

Qualifications * Ph.D. in Chemistry, Engineering, or Materials Science with 0-5 years of industry experience. * A track record of technical success * History of commercialization and collaboration with business partners in industry is preferred * Strong communicator, patents and IP, design of experiments, strong commitment to meet established deadlines, mentoring, formulation and mechanical testing experience are a plus.
