Mechanical Field Technician - Welder - Alliance, OH - JOB 24-00211 Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $45.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits Our client located in the Alliance, Ohio area is seeking a Field Mechanical Technician with welding experience. The Mechanical Field Technician's key responsibilities are to travel to customer-owned facilities to inspect, repair, install, upgrade, and maintain their equipment. Perform various types of welds in various positions utilizing SMAW (stick) welding. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems. Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED required. • Experience in an industrial maintenance environment or Military experience. • Must be a qualified welder in accordance with AWS D1.1 (or capable of becoming qualified) • Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) • Must have knowledge of industrial plant equipment and operating functions. • Must be able to read mechanical and structural prints. • Must have strong communication skills (Written & Verbal) • Ability to interface with customers. • Must be a team player. • Must be able to work in high places. • Must have a high attention to detail. • Must be able to travel to client sites. • Must possess a Valid driver's license with good driving record. • Ability to work at times under extreme elements indoor and outdoor. • Must be eligible to work various shifts if needed. • Opportunity for extensive travel • Travel required. • Company will provide cell phone, uniforms and per diem. • Work in accordance with OSHA, CMAA, ANSI, ASME, AWS, and other applicable regulations Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
