We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with precision measuring instruments, geometry, schematics, and math. Experience with G&M codes and tooling is a plus. Mechanical knowledge and experience with bore gauges and calipers are also required.
As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for translating engineering drawings and specifications into machine code for CNC machines. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate production of machined parts by programming and setting up CNC equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Create CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Select appropriate tools and cutting speeds for machining operations.
- Set up CNC machine, including loading raw materials and tooling, and configuring machine parameters.
- Run test programs to ensure accuracy and make necessary adjustments for optimization.
- Monitor machine processes to ensure quality standards are met and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Maintain detailed records of CNC programs, tooling and set up procedures.
- Work closely with engineers, machinists, and other team members to understand project requirements and address and challenges.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, and calipers to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
- Troubleshoot and debug CNC programs as needed.
- Operate Mazak Mill and Lathe.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to improve programming techniques and processes.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Reviews work and projects for technical accuracy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience with Conversational programming and G&M code (required)
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, knowledge of machining processes and experience with CNC machines and programming languages.
- Knowledge of various CNC machines, such as milling machines and lathes.
- Experience with multi-axis machining.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.

Education and Experience:
- Diploma in CNC Programming, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. (preferred) (or relevant work experience)
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer with expertise in AutoCAD or similar CAM software (required)
- Candidates must be familiar with G&M Code

- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
