Responsible for the coordination of Maintenance work in assigned area.

  1. Ability to troubleshoot all systems and phases of the operation;

  2. Ability to communicate at all levels within the plant;

  3. Responsible for plant security & safety;

  4. Assign work orders to skill level employees as necessary;

  5. Ensure the proper use of the central stores area;

  6. Handle and coordinate with all departments to provide effective operations.

  7. Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment. Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk. Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.

  8. Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.

  9. Maintain production schedules.

  10. Work with groups in initiating and implementation of programs such as Lean Manufacturing and 5-S.

  11. Other duties may be assigned at a later time.

Education required/ preferred:

High School diploma or GED. Minimum of two years technical trade school or equivalent experience.

Experience:

Industrial experience in a similar industry preferred.

  1. Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  2. Displays above average worth ethics & morale

  3. Administrative skills

  4. Leadership skills

Skills/Competencies:

  1. Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office package

  2. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
