ANIZDA Reference #: 1878As a Sr. Project Engineer for RKandK you will be responsible for leading and contributing to the project team with the design and preparation of a variety of Transportation/Highway Civil Engineering projects while adhering to RKandK's QC/QA guidelines.RKandK prepares transportation studies and designs ranging in scale from small single span bridge replacements to large infrastructure improvements. A sampling of some of the high profile and challenging projects that we have underway and to which prospective employees could have involvement include:Route 462 Bridge Rehabilitation over the Susquehanna River in Lancaster/York CountiesReconstruction and widening of 7 miles of I-78 in Lehigh CountyI-76 ICM in Philadelphia CountyReconstruction of 8 miles of I-80 in Columbia CountyBasic Responsibilities/Functions:The experienced Project Engineer leads design tasks to ensure deliverables are completed within budget and on schedulePerforms a wide variety of engineering tasks that may include data collection, engineering studies and analysis, the development of concept designs, cost estimates and specifications for transportation/civil design tasks including; roadway, interchanges, intersections, parking, sidewalks, trails, grading, drainage, utilities, traffic control and sediment control in accordance with local, state and federal design guidelines, standards, specifications and regulationsPreparation of engineering plans using prescribed methodsWork in a collaborative environment with a diverse, multi-disciplined project team under the guidance of senior engineering staffCommunicate internally with coworkers and project teams, externally with client and project representatives via direct conversations, email, video, telephone and writing documentationServe as subject matter expert on multiple designs and projects reporting to the Project ManagerProvide guidance and mentorship to Entry and Associate Level EngineersRequired Experience:(5)+ Five years of experience in civil engineering on highway, transportation, traffic related projectsDemonstrated knowledge of Bluebeam and Microsoft office applicationsHighly proficient with software including: MicroStation, InRoads, OpenRoads, AutoDesk/CADD, GeopakFamiliarity with engineering guidelines and best practicesConfident communication and presentation abilityRequired Education and Certification:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or relatedLicensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)Preferred Skills/Experience/Education:Local PennDOT project experienceActive in local associations and relevant groupsWhy RKandK?With nearly a century in business, numerous awards, and consistent meaningful work on many of the most interesting transportation projects across the Nation; RKandK is a place where the best and brightest Planners, Engineers, Scientists and Construction Experts can comfortably call home.
