Valley Extrusions Plastic Profile Extrusion Machine Operator in ALLENTOWN, Pennsylvania

 

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking Plastic Profile Extrusion Machine Operators to become an integral part of our team. If you are an ambitious, hardworking individual who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment Valley Extrusions is the place for you.  A mechanical background and aptitude is preferred. Extrusion experience is a plus.  Excellent attendance, efficiency, attention to detail and a good work ethic are essential to succeed.   As an Operator you will be required to follow instructions and make changes to the process to get the profile within specs. This is a Trade, not just a job.

Machine Operator Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up, start up, operate, and tear down machine.
  • Load materials into extruder and adjust feed mechanisms to set feed rates.
  • Operate and monitor all machine operations, control boards, and gauges and adjust controls accordingly.
  • Inspect finished product coming off the production line quality specs and take action to correct any problems.
  • Complete daily production reports.
  • Machine Operator must always be mentally alert and aware of his surroundings.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as directed by Management.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Machine Operator Skills and Requirements:

  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Mathematical aptitude & attention to detail
  • Ability to read/understand specifications/drawings.
  • Ability to read measuring devices such as ruler, tape measure, caliper, dial indicator, micrometer and scale.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to use hand tools to set up and operate extruder.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent standing, walking and lifting.
  • Regular and punctual attendance with reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work any shift.

     

PAY BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 minimum with no experience to start

  • 12 hour shifts
  • Day shift
  • Night shift
