Description

This Bookkeeper position will be located in the Allentown, Pennsylvania area and will be a long-term contract / temporary opportunity.

How you will make an impact

  • Record and reconcile census for the PCF and IL environments.

  • As necessary, attend daily cross campus stand-up meetings for purposes of obtaining necessary information for census as requested.

  • Completes financial asset updates for all current residents within the specified timeframes for that environment and maintains current financial records.

  • Monitor residents that are charitable care pending; assists residents with the transition to charitable care per the policy.

  • Processes monthly resident statements and responds to all inquiries related to the billing statements & charges. Submit billing to long term care insurance companies as needed.

  • Accumulates and enters defined ancillary charges for residents, (i.e. key replacement, electric bills & meal charges etc.).

  • Processes all resident refunds, including waiting list refunds (refund calculations & deposit statements).

  • Processes all financial payments related to move-ins per contract terms.

  • Accepts & log cash receipts in accordance with cash posting processes.

  • As applicable, track entrance fees for the Pathstones environment, ensuring that all fees are paid in full upon the specified deadline.

  • Assist residents with information related to VA benefits.

  • Monitors accounts receivables aging list and follows up with residents in accordance with the Collections Policy reducing days in AR and strengthening cash collections.

  • Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compiles information as necessary or as directed.

  • Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area or to requests from residents, staff personnel, etc., within given time frames.

Requirements - Claims processing experience

  • Knowledge of billing

  • Solid understanding of medicare

  • BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred

  • Previous experience as a Bookkeeper preferred

  • Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired
