Actalent Project Manager in Allegan, Michigan

Description:

The Project Manager will be responsible for for managing the lifecycle of projects from the time the PO is given all the way through to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role requires this individual to be customer facing and communicating with customer regularly. Once they receive the purchase order, they will work cross functionally to establish a timeline for engineering and build and shipping. Typically they wouldn't be involved with installation but could require some travel at times (5-10%).

Working cross functionally with engineering, customers and floor associates. Also, interact with drawings but won't have to design anything.

Juggling approximately 20 different projects at once, all of varied size and scope and different stages of the lifecycle.

Day to day responsibilities:

-Manage and oversee all aspects of a project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget

-Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports

-Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects

-Ensure resource availability and allocation

-Develop a detailed project plan to track progress

-Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs

-Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques

-Report and escalate to management as needed

-Perform risk management to minimize project risks

-Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

Skills:

-Project Management Experience

-Automation or Custom Machine Build experience

-Experience working directly with customers

-Dynamic/Adaptability
