Job Description:

Support Terumo Center for Advanced Therapeutics (TCAT) to determine marketing requirements for TCAT products and projects, conduct market research, and market opportunity analysis. Manage marketing development or upstream marketing of new products within TCAT. Establish relationships with KOL physicians within markets key to projects within TCAT. Coordinate and work closely with TCAT internal customers (e.g., TEIS, TMC, TC) with marketing requirements, market data and marketing research activities. Work closely with Project Managers within the TCAT organization. Develop and provide marketing support materials helpful to the sales launch of internal TCAT internal customers.

  • Contribute to projects with strategic and tactical execution to drive competitive and clinical advantage.

  • Work closely with TCAT Market Development management with market research and marketing/financial opportunity analysis for new product projects.

  • Possess expertise in technical, clinical, and upstream marketing of product lines assigned. Analyze market reports, competitive trends, clinical needs, customer behavior, etc., for incorporation into product development and strategic support for internal TCAT customers.

  • Coordinate communications with TCAT internal customers on projects, market, and clinical information needed from their customers.

  • Develop surveys to capture data and marketing/customer requirements for projects.

  • Monitor competitive environment especially as it relates to new product development for assigned projects.

  • Work closely with KOL’s and MV R&D with animal lab projects for assigned projects.

  • Collaborate closely with R&D on product specifications and design throughout entire process to market, support Beta and post-market assessments where appropriate.

  • Travel to customer sites/labs to observe and support clinical case and visit physicians. Attend conferences, meetings, and tradeshows.

  • Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  2. Minimum five (5) years of successful upstream and downstream implantable medical device marketing experience.

  3. Strong analytical, logical, and critical thinking capabilities.

  4. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Capable of effectively interfacing with physicians, senior staff personnel, R&D staff, sales reps, and clinical research personnel.

  5. Able to handle multiple tasks effectively while consistently meeting deadlines.

  6. Excellent attention to detail.

  7. Able to work autonomously as well as effectively in a team environment.

  8. Extremely reliable and dependable.

  9. Capacity to analyze problems and develop solutions.

  10. Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

Desired Qualifications

  1. MBA preferred.

  2. Minimum one (1) year of supervisory or management experience/responsibility.

  3. Product management experience a plus.

  4. Able to articulate market needs and provide leadership to multi-functional teams.

  5. Able to cultivate customer relationships and effectively interface with marketing personnel of TCAT customers (e.g., TEIS, TMC, TC).

  6. Knowledge of global markets.

  7. Experience in PVD and IC devices and clinical procedures a plus.
