Utz Brands Spicer- Second Shift in Algona, Washington
Tim's Cascade Snacks, a subsidiary of Utz Quality Foods is for a skilled Seasoner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of seasonings and spices from our manufacturing facility located in Algona, WA. As a Spicer, this candidate will be responsible for operation of spice machines assuring consistent flow of spice application. Will be monitoring inventory levels and ensuring that all seasonings are handled and stored properly. This position works Monday-Friday 2:15PM-10:45PM on 2nd shift. Saturdays and overtime are required. Key Responsibilities: Monitors and fills spice machines as necessary. Ensures that there is consistent flow of potato chips on conveyor and correct amount of spice flowing onto chips. Makes sure the salts are within standard. Maintains accurate records of spices used. Responsible to keep spices with allergens stored away from other spices. Communicates frequently with inspectors, packers, packaging machine operators and quality assurance lab to guarantee product quality. Pay at $19.82/hour, with shift differential of $0.50 for 2nd shift. Requirements: Must have good written and oral communication skills and attention to detail. Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work well in a team environment. Detail oriented, organized, reliable and resourceful. Solid decision-making skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. Ability to frequently lift 50-pound bags of spice. High school diploma or GED equivalent. During the first year of service, hired applicants will earn Paid Time Off in the form of Vacation and Flex PTO at the accrual rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, earning a maximum of 40 hours of Vacation and 40 hours of Flex PTO, for a combined maximum total of 80 hours.
