Aventure Staffing CNC Machinist in Algona, Iowa

CNC Machinist

$20+/hr - Depending on Experience + $2 Shift Premium

Monday - Friday, 3pm-11:30pm

An established manufacturing company located in Algona, IA is hiring a skilled CNC Machinist to join their team! The CNC Machinist position will be responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision metal and plastic parts. As a CNC Machinist you will also be responsible for ensuring products meet precise specifications and perform various manufacturing tasks related to the overall project build and design process as needed. If you are a skilled machinist who is a team player and dependable, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend and follow directions from supervisors

  • Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, etc. in machine shop area

  • Determine how automated material will cut apart

  • Select tools and materials for the job

  • Operate manual and computer controlled machinery

  • Review and understand electronic or written blueprints or specifications

  • Plan the sequence of cutting and finishing operations

  • Operate hand/power tools

  • Communicate with other team members, managers and departments

  • Quality control - check quality of work against blueprints/specifications

  • Check stock to ensure adequate inventory levels

  • Responsible for product coding and time tracking

  • Assist co-workers and perform other duties as assigned

Responsibilities:

  • 1-3 years related experience or training

  • Ability to follow instruction, demonstrate good teamwork skills and regular, consistent attendance

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and computer generate reports

  • Apply problem solving techniques to evaluate and resolve conditions to maximize operating efficiencies

  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawings, blueprints and various maintenance/operation manuals

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting Pay: $20+/hr - DOE + $2 Shift Premium
