CACI is looking for a Telecommunications SME to join our DOD CIO program as a policy analyst working at the strategic level. We work to support our customer in providing a common responsible matter relating to the DoD information enterprise, such as cybersecurity, communications, information systems, and more. Strategic guidance aimed at achieving an operationally effective and secure Information Enterprise in a cost-efficient manner. Areas of priority include network optimization, cloud adoption, software modernization, and IT reform.

What You’ll Get to Do:

Provide comprehensive consultant and technical support for DODIN Modernization to develop strategic plans and policy for the DoD CIO.

Provide management and technical expertise for DODIN Modernization to support meetings, working groups and the development of policy, strategic plans, briefings, and briefing materials for use by senior leadership within the DoD CIO.

More About the Role:

Provide comprehensive systems and network analyst support for DODIN Modernization to develop policy and establish programs for improved performance, capacity, and security, while reducing the cost and complexity of the DISN with expertise in optical transport, MPLS routing, 5G, satellite communications, IPv6, SDN, office productivity, voice, and video services.

Provide comprehensive systems and network engineering support for DODIN Modernization to improved performance, capacity, and security, while reducing the cost and complexity of the DISN with expertise in optical transport, MPLS routing, 5G, satellite communications, IPv6, SDN, office productivity, voice, and video services.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

15-20 years practical/technical experience within the private sector (Telecommunications industry) and the DoD (OSD/DISA) at the enterprise/strategic level.

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field. Education may not be substituted for experience.

Clearance - Secret w/the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI

Required knowledge includes -

  • OSI Layers

  • cloud computing, Software Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN)

  • voice, video, and data communications and convergence

  • telecommunications network infrastructure (circuit and IP-based; outside/inside plant; end point devices; associated cyber security appliances, procedures, & protocols; routers, switches, firewalls, etc...), emerging technology, trends, and best practices

  • telephony (PSTN, DSN, wired/wireless, VoIP, national dialing plans, soft phone applications, associated administrative processes, etc...)

  • protocols (IP, TCP, MPLS, SIP, AS-SIP, etc...)

  • public safety communications (911, E911, NG911)

  • land mobile radio and associated networking

  • DoDIN

  • familiarity with industry vendors, commercial carriers, AI, telecommunication laws, federal regulations, and guidelines

DOD CIO experience.

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$94,400 - $198,300
