We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded Senior Communication Specialist to lead our communication efforts to join our government customer team with the DAU. The Senior Communication Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies that align with organizational goals and enhance brand reputation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in communication management, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Role Overview: As a Senior Communications Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing communication initiatives to advance our organizational objectives. You will lead the development of strategic communication plans, create compelling content, and oversee the implementation of communication campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in communication strategy development, social media management, and content creation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive communication strategies to support organizational goals and initiatives.

  • Create engaging and impactful content for diverse communication channels, including social media platforms, websites, newsletters, and press releases.

  • Manage and oversee social media accounts to maintain brand consistency, engage with followers, and drive audience growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in communications, with a focus on strategic communication planning, social media management, and content creation, with a demonstrated progression of responsibilities.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies that drive brand awareness and engagement.

  • Demonstrated expertise in creating compelling content for various communication channels, with a portfolio showcasing examples of past work.

  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to inspire and guide team members to achieve excellence.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and other relevant communication software.

  • Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and a passion for driving results through innovative communication approaches.
