The Bowen Group Program Manager ***Contingent on Contract Award*** in Alexandria, Virginia

Get ready to jump on board with the industry leader in the provision of wellness services to the military and veteran communities! The Bowen Group, a small business and leader in Health and Wellness Programs, Digital and Outreach Services, and Training and Learning Solutions is searching for a Program Manager. This is a full-time position located at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA. Level up in your career and support the military community at The Bowen Group.

The purpose of the program is to provide comprehensive program and policy management, program administrative and legislative support to the Defense Suicide Prevention Office.

Specific responsibilities of the Program Manager include but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversees the delivery of all contract deliverables and quality, contract financial execution and program evaluation.

  • Manages multiple project planning timelines, strategic plans and initiatives, and business operation plans.

  • Leads a small contract team that assists the Government Program Office with program management, administrative and legislative support.

  • Ensures that projects’ and customer’s goals are met, adheres to budget and acts as the liaison between customer and staff, meets regularly with the customer to discuss the status of the program.

  • Prepares reports to satisfy company policies and government contractual mandates, to include monthly and quarterly activity reports and interim progress review reports.

  • Conducts regular meetings with staff and task leads to plan ongoing activities.

  • Monitors Quality Control Plan and Contingency Operations Plan requirements.

  • Conducts yearly planning meetings to determine activities for following year.

  • Effectively communicates (orally and written) expectations and resources required to achieve program goals and execution; engages the contracting office and representatives as needed.

  • Perform other duties as requested.

  • BS/BA in Management or Social Services field. Master’s Degree and licensure preferred.

  • 10 years of program management experience.

  • Strong management skills and experience in overseeing administrative aspects of projects similar in scope to this one, to include delivery of contract deliverables, and working a Government Program Office on executive administrative support, policy development, congressional and legislative support, and Annual Report development.

  • Knowledge of suicide prevention and other mental health policies and initiatives.

  • Ability to facilitate team and client meetings effectively.

  • PC literacy required; MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
