SGSS Office Administrator in Alexandria, Virginia

Space Ground System Solutions, a Parsons company, has an immediatepart-time(24 hrs/wk) opening for an Office Assistant to provide a variety of administrative duties in our Alexandria, VA, office. This will be a cross-functional administrative position supporting managers and employees. activities. The position will begin at 24 hours/week.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to SGSS management and employees including scheduling meetings, managing calendar, and handling correspondence as needed.
  • Document Management: Prepare, edit, and distribute various documents and reports. This includes review of timesheets, submission for approval.
  • Office Coordination: Assist in the coordination of office activities and operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies. Schedule and monitor office maintenance and cleaning.
  • Event Planning: Assist in coordinating company events, meetings, and conferences.
  • Expense Reporting: Review employee expense reports prior to submission for management approval. Monitor monthly account payables, process invoices and miscellaneous expense reports.
  • Supplies Management: Monitor and order office supplies as needed. Ensure office equipment is maintained and serviced.
  • New Employee Orientation: Assist with onboarding new employees.
  • Data Entry:Perform data tasks and maintain databases.
  • Security Administration: Includes badging, building and office access, alarm systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be a US citizen
  • High School Diploma and no less than five (5) - seven (7) years of office administration experience
  • Demonstrated ability of strong communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
