Wiley & Wilson Electrical - Project Engineer in Alexandria, Virginia

In this position you will be responsible for providing engineering and design on projects under the supervision of a Senior Project Engineer or Department Manager. You will be responsible for coordination with other disciplines, client contact and for client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited institution
  • Registered PE at job location - or through reciprocity in within 3 months of start date
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Excel and has familiarity with Revit software
  • Technical experience must include power distribution, lighting, mission-critical and backup systems, and sustainable (LEED) design practices
  • Experience in all phases of the design process from project planning and concepts through working drawings and construction administration
  • Strong design review skills
  • Strong problem solving skills related to a wide variety of building projects, from renovation to new construction
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to change, demonstrated ability to interact in a cooperative and effective manner
  • Requires individual to be self-motivated, able to multi-task
  • Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States and to obtain a security clearance

Experience:

  • 6-10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering Design

Desirable:

  • Experience with IT/telecom design, fire alarm design, security systems, and SCIF/TEMPEST requirements
  • LEED credential
