Leidos Deployable Hardware Engineer in Alexandria, Virginia

Description

Leidos has an opening for a highly qualified Deployable Hardware Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your experience to support across all-domain large-scale weapon systems, Information Technology Systems, and Command and Control Systems to realize the Department of Defense Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2). In this role you will support an Integrated Product Team (IPT) for the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) Processing Node (PN) to design and implement solutions that can be delivered at speed, scale, and with the necessary security to deliver operational advantages to the joint warfighter. ABMS is a top modernization priority for the Department of the Air Force and will be the backbone of a network-centric approach to battle management in partnership with all the services across JADC2. This position will work closely with Program Managers, other domain engineers, and Government counterparts across Government and Industry partners.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform trade studies to identify best-value hardware/network infrastructure for FDI

  • Implement the integration of commercial cloud vendor mission module hardware with DIPN common hardware

  • Implement integration of FDI infrastructure with physical shelter

  • Integrate FDI shelter and hardware with base physical plant

Basic Qualifications

  • BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Secret clearance with the ability to get a TS SCI clearance.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • Proven experience designing and configuring military compute and networking equipment, to including military use of commercial cloud provider edge equipment

  • Familiarity with technical specifications of compute, storage, and network infrastructures, to include commercial cloud hardware offerings

  • Familiarity with hardware stack design tools and views, eg, proven experience drawing and refining rack elevations

  • IAT Level II

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud computing infrastructure and platform solutions on at least one of the large Cloud Service Providers (CSP); Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments and across multiple security enclaves or networks

  • Experience utilizing Agile development methodologies and Application Lifecycle Management

  • Experience leading a cross-functional technology team

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
