Leidos Accessibility Analyst – Section 508 in Alexandria, Virginia

Description

The Leidos Digital Modernization sector has an opening for a subject matter expert to support the provisioning of enterprise-wide guidance, policies, evaluation, and oversight for the accessibility of DoD information for disabled individuals, known as DoD Section 508. This job is intended to provide analytical and programmatic support services to increase the awareness of Section 508. The successful candidate will be a proven performer and self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide Subject Matter Expertise regarding Department-wide policy guidance and oversight for federally mandated Section 508 implementation.

• Evaluate the Department’s level of compliance for creating Section 508-compliant Electronic & Information Technology (EIT).

• Provide recommendations on how to improve the DOD CIO's efforts to develop, procure, and maintain solutions that increase the accessibility of the DOD EIT environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Public Policy with at least 8+years of prior relevant experience in a Section 508 capacity.

  • Experience with the DoD Section 508 program.

  • Knowledge of industry efforts to increase accessibility of information for disabled individuals.

  • Experience formulating policy, guidelines, and training materials.

  • Solid knowledge of SharePoint and collaboration tools.

  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Expertise in working with high Government officials.

  • Solid presentation skills and development of presentation charts.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • U.S. citizenship with an active Secret security clearance; ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good analytical skills and programmatic knowledge.

  • Ability to write and coordinate policy.

  • Accessibility training or certificate

Pay Range:

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
