Central Specialties, Inc. is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Business Controller to support the daily operations of the accounting department. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Business Controller will oversee job cost accounting, profitability analysis, and work closely with Project Management to ensure job-related compliance and controls are met. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Supervise the job cost team, subcontracting processes, and compliance efforts. Complete daily paperwork, project tie-outs, analysis of job profitability. Compile data and prepare workpapers for monthly financial statements and other financial analyses. Ensure compliance with all accounting policies and procedures. Assist with government reporting requirements for multi-state operations. Proactively address challenges and provide effective solutions. Ability to work extended hours when necessary. Support other corporate projects as needed. Identify and recommend improvements for efficiency and process streamlining across all accounting functions. Assist with various tasks and projects, including internal and external audit requests, compliance tracking, and reporting for month-end and year-end deliverables.
