**[Annual Salary Range: $34,651.03 - $41,589.91 Grade: 20 (Employee: 7% on your current salary, whichever is greater; or 10.5% on your current salary, whichever is greater, if position is 3 grades or higher than current position) Appointment to a position in the classified service shall be at the minimum of the corresponding pay range unless otherwise approved.

[Examination is announced to establish an employment list to fill vacancies in the Electric Production Department and future vacancies, as they occur to perform inspection, maintenance and repair of utility/industrial plant operating equipment, including large stationary internal combustion engines, assorted machinery, pumps, meters, electrical breakers, air compressors, and other plant equipment, and are subject to 24-hour call. Installs equipment pumps, motors, and air conditioners. Assists electrician or instrument tech in repair, replacement, and maintenance of sensors, controls, motors, and circuits. Maintains the grounds of the electric production facility. Operates or uses power tools, hand tools, and supplies; operates and maintains drill press, boom truck, backhoe, tractor, welding equipment, mechanical wrenches, shovels, lawnmower, weed eater, and pressure washer, in addition to mechanics tools

  • High School diploma or GED; supplemented by prior working experience in the maintenance, repair, and installation of industrial/utility plant equipment; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
