Amentum Windows System Administrator in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Amentum is currently seeking a Windows System Administrator to support an IT Managed Services program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems.

You will be a part of a team that.

As a member of the team, you will:

  • Install new infrastructure, assist customers with their file system needs (creating folder structure, backing up data, etc.), working on switches, troubleshooting performance issues, examining logs, and making hardware recommendations.

  • Primarily work with servers, but desktop support for the customer will also be part of your daily duties.

  • Customer works primarily with unclassified and classified data, networking, and software diagnostics.

  • Work will be in the Emergency Operations Center and will require the ability to work on call.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have an Bachelors and 2 years of experience OR an Associates and 5 years of experience OR a High School degree/ GED and 8 years of experience.

  • Related experience can be substituted for relevant education and vice versa.

  • Must have an ACTIVE TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Clearance.

  • Windows Desktop and Server System Administration:

  • End-User Application Support

  • System Setup

  • Active Directory Support

  • Account Management

  • File services

  • Network Configuration

  • Application Hosting

  • Computer and Networking Troubleshooting

  • Previous experience in the service or installation of audio, video, and/or audiovisual, presentation systems

  • Familiarity with Firewall technology & management of private LANs/networks

  • Familiarity with network protocols and network management technologies

  • Skill utilizing software diagnostic tools and the ability to conduct appropriate troubleshooting processes and conduct appropriate upgrades.

  • Ability to work independently, be self-directed and make sound decisions based on customer satisfaction.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Onsite

  • Ability to be on-call.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • InfoComm CTS certification preferred but not required with the right experience. Any other industry related certifications or training is a plus. Examples: Crestron, BIAMP, Extron, QSC, Microsoft TEAMs, Shure, etc.
