Job Description

Primary Location:

Albuquerque, New Mexico

MUST HAVE OWN BASIC TOOL SET. 1 YEAR OF MECHANIC EXPERIENCE PREFEERED.

Shift- Day Shift, Generally Monday - Friday

Vehicle Mechanic: Repairs and maintains fleet vehicles and equipment including heavy to light trucks, cars, forklifts and vending refrigeration units by performing the following duties.

  • Reads problem description and diagnosis equipment to determine malfunction and corrective action necessary for repair.

  • Inspects vehicles for defective equipment.

  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on all fleet vehicle systems.

  • Overhauls gas or diesel engines.

  • Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on vehicles, and makes adjustments.

  • Lubricates moving parts and drives or operates repaired vehicles and equipment to verify conformance to specifications.

  • Installs special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to technical manuals or schematic drawings.

  • Performs minor maintenance and repair of building and plant equipment including, air-conditioning, plumbing, cable installation and other mechanical related components.

  • Wears company provided uniform and safety devices as appropriate to comply with safety standards and to present a professional image.

  • Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.
