Description

Robert Half is seeking a Technical Supervisor in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The Technical Supervisor will guide staff to ensure productivity, quality, and safety, and serve as a vital link between staff and upper management. Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree, strong interpersonal skills, excellent technical skills and great organizational abilities. They must be comfortable with Office products such as Word and Excel and be able to learn other technologies, including company's flagship software and products, as well as the use of printers, folders, and inserting machines for mailing projects. They must be able to multi-task and prioritize with multiple, overlapping deadlines.

Job will include overseeing a team of full-time, part-time and temporary staff for the following:

•Overseeing the Mailing Supervisor who is responsible for Supervising Mailing Projects at every stage, which includes:

o Loading Data to printing software

o Printing and maintaining different printers and printing presses

o Operating various mailing machines, including folders, inserters, sealers, and postage meters.

o Verifying prepared mail to ensure quality of all outgoing mail

o Delivery to and interaction with Business Mail Entry Unit

•Supervising Election Preparations, which includes:

o Managing inventory and condition of hardware

o Working with upper management to develop plans and schedules for each election cycle

o Working with vendors to acquire necessary materials for each project

o Training and onboarding temporary staff

o Surveying pollsites for connectivity and setup plans

o “Mock Setups” – testing and preparing each piece of equipment for each election

o Prepping equipment to go out into the field

o Setting up equipment at pollsites, and clearing equipment after each election

• Supporting products in the field

• Providing guidance, coaching, and constructive feedback to ensure that employees can succeed in their job duties

• Setting goals and deadlines to ensure success in company projects

• Organizing workflow and ensuring that all employees understand their tasks and are well equipped to complete their tasks.

• Mastering the use of election and mailing technology, and teaching these skills to others

• Suggesting improvements to existing processes

• Researching solutions to workflow issues

• Ensuring compliance with legal and company policies

The successful Technical supervisor will have

•Proven experience in a supervisory role.

•Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other productivity technologies.

•BS/BA degree preferred

• Printer troubleshooting preferred

• Tech savvy, aptitude to learn election software

• Leadership, organization, research and strong communication skills required.

• Must have a valid US Driver's License.

•Occasional travel within the State or within the U.S. may be required a few times per year.

•Election periods throughout the year may require long hours/overtime
