About Our Team:

The Technology and Economic Development Department leverages the technologies, facilities, and people in order to foster technology-based economic development in New Mexico. Programs include the Center for Collaboration and Commercialization, Science & Technology Park, New Mexico Small Business Assistance Program, and the Technology Readiness Initiative (TRGR). The office is located in the Innovation Parkway Office Center (IPOC).

What Your Job Will Be Like:

We are seeking a Technical Business Development Specialist that is passionate about technology-based economic development.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Support partnership opportunities for economic development at the Labs.

  • Support day-to-day operations of programs within the Technology and Economic Development department.

  • Analyze federal and regional policies and translate into useful strategies for the Labs.

  • Develop and deliver presentations to external partners.

Qualifications

Qualifications We Require:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus four years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience (12 years total equivalent work experience).

  • Excellent writing skills.

  • Ability to obtain a DOE security clearance.

    Qualifications We Desire:

  • Experience with technology transfer and partnerships initiatives at the national laboratories.

  • Experience launching and leading programs.

  • Experience with technology-based economic development.
