Chenega Professional & Technical Services, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services ’ company, is looking for a Software Engineer II to support a software application development project with the Department of Energy’s (DOE), National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). The Software Engineer II will support the development, deployment, enhancement, and maintenance of the Clearance Action Tracking System (CATS).

Responsibilities

  • Build fully operational applications following a standard prescribed methodology that ensures stringent process management, quality assurance, configuration management, and security conformance control.

  • Deliver all prescribed documentation consistent with the level of project effort.

  • Provide maintenance and enhancement services including modernization and feasible customization of business applications.

  • Troubleshoot and repair customized production applications with requirements analysis, quality assurance testing and updated documentation.

  • Conduct all maintenance and enhancement efforts following a standard prescribed methodology that ensures stringent project management, quality assurance, configuration management, and security conformance controls.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintain DOE “Q” Security Clearance

  • Associates Degree or Technical Certificate in IT or Microsoft Stack technologies

  • 3+ year of ASP.Net, SQL Server experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Willingness to acquire new skills and master new technologies quickly is required, while a demonstrable eagerness to do so is better still.

  • Knowledge of working in Iterative Agile software development environments is favorable.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently and possess strong communication skills.
