Overview

Under direct supervision, the Maintenance Worker I will be responsible for performing architectural renovations, modifications, repairs and preventive maintenance to building structures and performing all other related duties and tasks as required or assigned.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 0-3 years of directly-related maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained.

Must have demonstrated skills in general maintenance and be able to troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of maintenance problems. This position requires the ability to complete associated paperwork and work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Individual must be highly motivated with good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Requires computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn department-specific computer systems as needed.

Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling heavy equipment, bending, stooping, climbing, carrying, outdoor work and working alone for long periods of time. Must be able to wear a respirator and any other required personal protective equipment.

A Post-offer background check and the ability to gain and maintain access to Kirtland Air Force base (KAFB) is required.

Shift differential will be given, graveyard 10:30pm -7:00am, Thursday-Monday, off Tuesday and Wednesday.

Relocation may be offered for this position.

Salary

Salary is commensurate with experience.
