Lead Specialist, Research Operations

KBR is seeking a Lead Specialist, Research Operations to support our RECO/DTRA contract for KBR’s Science and Space division. Provide R&D and test support for environmental testing on CBRNE experiments at Kirtland AFB, WSMR, Dugway, and other US testing grounds.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Recommends solutions to new and complex problems, develops innovative strategies, quantifies the competitive performance of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. Requires CBRNE expertise.

Solves complex problems and identifies innovative solutions. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

Interprets DTRA challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services.

Guides multidisciplinary team to solve complex problems; uses analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions.

Provides input into research and development activities and budget allocations.

Supervises team members at a project level to include verification of timecards, oversight of daily tasks/schedules and input into performance appraisals.

Primary customer contact for R&D projects and CBRNE tests.

Skills and Abilities:

· High degree of knowledge concerning electronics and electronic systems for data acquisition

· Experience regarding Chemical, Biological, Nuclear, Radiological and Explosives (CBRNE) research, testing, and technology

· Strong technical writing skills for project/test plan and technical report development

Special Requirements (Licenses, Clearances or Certifications):

10 years of relative experience

Requires US Citizenship

DoD SECRET Security Clearance

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Education and Experience: Typically requires a college or university degree in a related scientific or technical field. In some disciplines, advanced degree may be a requirement to reach this level. Typically requires 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
