Linquest Corporation Lead Senior Systems Engineer in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Description

LinQuest is seeking a Lead Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, NM supporting the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center Air Delivered Capabilities Directorate. US citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI and SAP are required.

The Lead Systems Engineer shall be responsible for overseeing the systems engineering related aspects of the contract and shall have demonstrated expertise in systems engineering concepts and processes to include MATE philosophies and MBSE methodologies. The Lead Systems Engineer shall serve as the primary technical point of contact and shall serve as the lead for technical discussions and technical issue resolution. This individual shall possess the ability to coordinate cross-functional team efforts to ensure system architecture and design align with project requirements.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Support the PI by translating the strategic direction into a feasible technical path to execution

  • Lead working-level IPT's and provide technical recommendations to the leadership team

  • Represents the team in a technical capacity to the government customer and external organizations

  • Periodic travel (once per month) may be required to carry out duties

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree from accredited institution

  • 8+ years of relevant experience relating to DoD projects such as major weapons systems or major programs (e.g., ACAT)

  • Experience managing complex systems over their life cycles

  • Experience with various engineering disciplines such as nuclear, aerospace, electrical, and systems engineering

  • Must be able to demonstrate engineering principles and concepts in reference to systems engineering

  • Expertise with requirements development and analysis, and the development of systems engineering-related documents including requirements/specifications, interface control documents, and validation & verification plans

  • Solid analytical and problem solving skills; able to sort through complex issues and develop clear solutions, provide in-depth technical assessments and identify issues and risks

  • Effective interpersonal and team-building skills, to engage at both the engineer and management levels

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Clear and concise written, verbal communications and presentation skills; able to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations and options to the customer

  • Highly organized, capable of handling multiple competing priorities; able to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a dynamic environment

  • Must be a motivated, self-starter capable of autonomous on-the-job learning/improvement

  • An active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI and SAP

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • MS in Engineering

  • Nuclear weapon system experience

  • Systems engineering certifications, such as CSEP, ESEP, OCSMP
