Corus Health Home Health Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) - Valencia County in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Nominated by our own employees, Corus Health is the proud recent recipient of Albuquerque's prestigious Top Workplace award. We are currently seeking a qualified full-time Occupational Therapist to provide care for our patients. Under the supervision of the Home Health Director and in accordance with the interdisciplinary plan of care, our therapists evaluate, establish and implement individual programs of care for our patients to increase functional ability and reestablish independence at home.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Performing home visits to evaluate patient’s level of function by utilizing diagnostic and prognostic procedures

  • Developing individual plan of care based on patient's personal goals

  • Supervising and directing Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants with regard to patient care

  • Creating adaptive devices for use by the patient to achieve their functional therapeutic goals

Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in occupational therapy from a university accredited by the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association

  • License to practice in the State of New Mexico

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, concepts and methodology required of an occupational therapist and its practice application in the treatment of hospice patients at home

  • Excellent Communication and documentation skills

  • Willingness to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team

  • Valid New Mexico driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation
