Facilities Maintenance Coordinator - ABQ

Job Summary: As the Facilities Maintenance Coordinator, you will perform routine building maintenance and minor repair tasks. We are looking to you to ensure our physical plant is always operating at peak performance. This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of heating, electrical, and air conditioning equipment along with suggesting improvements of these systems to management.

  • Identify and report more complex maintenance needs to management.

  • Assist in the management of facilities projects including budgeting, quoting and vendor management.

  • Identify and recommend building needs.

  • Maintain exterior of the property, including snow removal and general upkeep of the landscape.

  • Do minor carpentry, mechanical, and plumbing repairs.

  • Perform monthly inspection of building safety systems.

  • Operate, plan and purchase tools and equipment required to maintain and repair the facility.

  • Assemble, repair, maintain, and move furniture and related fittings and fixtures and assist in building layout planning.

  • Maintain appropriate records and reports.

  • Inspect facilities and grounds for safety and security.

  • Identify and report hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs.

  • Serve as liaison with all facility vendors such as electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.

  • Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 3+ years of facilities maintenance work experience

  • Basic math abilities

  • Deadline-driven with strong multi-tasking skills

  • Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple departments and stakeholders

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office

  • Speak English clearly as well as read/comprehend instructions given in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in HVAC, electrical

  • Experience utilizing CMMS programming software.

  • Intermediate project management skills

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work inside or outside in all weather conditions.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Must pass a drug screen.

  • Must pass a background check.

  • Must pass a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE)
