AEgis Technologies Contracts Administrator in Albuquerque, New Mexico



ATA, a BlueHalo Company is seeking a Contracts Administrator to become a part of a dynamic corporate team. The Contracts Administrator will provide support in every aspect of the contract lifecycle and use creative thinking skills to drive solutions for the Space and Directed Energy Sector. This position will be embedded in a mission focused operations group and responsible for activities associated with proposal development/submittal and contract management/administration on multiple assigned contracts.

Essential Functions

The Contracts Administrator responsibilities include:

  • Provide Contracts support to negotiate, administer, extend, terminate, and renegotiate standard and nonstandard contracts.

  • Evaluate contract performance to determine the necessity for modifications or extensions of contracts, and compliance to contractual obligations.

  • Maintain communications to ensure timely contract execution by the parties.

  • Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.

  • Maintain consistent and organized files for programs

  • Proactively engaging with the program teams and customers to ensure that the programs are executing to contract requirements.

  • Advise on the different contract types and applicable laws and regulations associated with each type.

  • Review monthly deliverables for accuracy and completeness.

  • Identifies, tracks, mitigates risk issues with support from Contract leadership

  • Contribute to the responses for Requests of Information, Quotes, Proposals, Source Sought, and Market Surveys

  • Develop and review Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Teaming Agreements (TAs)

  • Complete Reps and Certs, prepare various contract notifications, follow-up on requests from both internal and external customers.

  • Responsible for ensuring that agreements/terms and conditions comply with all applicable regulations and requirements, while also adhering to company policies.

  • Actively work with proposal teams to develop a compliant proposal and provide the necessary back-up to support pricing adequacy.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization, including regular senior management level briefings on key issues.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are nominally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work.



Primary Location

ATA Albuquerque Office

  • BS/BA in Business or related discipline such as Finance, Supply Chain, or Accounting or a minimum of 3 years of experience with procurement negotiation, award, and administration.

  • Demonstrated experience in contracts; specifically, as a contracts administrator or negotiator.

  • Experience in reviewing RFP/RFQ’s and ensuring compliance with proposals.

  • Extensive FAR/DFAR knowledge; working knowledge of US Government acquisition laws and regulations

  • Experience with all-types of contracts (FFP, FPIF, CPFF, CPAF/IF, T&M)

  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense Security Clearance.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Master’s in business or related discipline

  • Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) certified

  • Experience with ERP systems such as Deltek and/or Unanet.

  • Majority of career spent in Aerospace & Defense Contracts organization
