Description

We are in search of a meticulous and experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico. This role involves overseeing all aspects of financial accounting and reporting, including grant reporting requirements, and ensuring accurate and timely financial statements. The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in improving the membership experience, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with key sponsors, vendors, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure of the organization

• Provide accurate and timely monthly and year-end financial reports

• Support the creation of budgets and financial forecasting activities

• Monitor compliance activities to ensure all general ledger financial reporting requirements are met

• Develop strong relationships with our membership, conference attendees, and key sponsors, vendors, and stakeholders

• Liaise with cross-functional internal teams to improve the membership experience

• Identify new business opportunities and work towards achieving them

• Manage the complete understanding of QuickBooks payroll processing including Timesheet reconciliation, journal entries, direct deposits, IRA updates, insurance payment processing, and vacation tracking

• Ensure all grant expenses and reporting requirements are met

• Process and pay all invoices/bills through QuickBooks when received

• Issue invoices to exhibitors and/or individuals attending symposia as requested

• Maintain a running list of current sponsors and notify them when they are up for renewal

• Utilize skills in Accounting Software Systems, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Billing Functions, QuickBooks Pro, Budgeting - Forecasting, Account Reconciliation, General Ledger, Individual Retirement Account (IRA), Government Grants, Financial Reporting.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting manager or supervisor role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with a broad range of accounting functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge in auditing processes

• Ability to manage billing functions effectively

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks Pro

• Experience in budgeting and forecasting

• Proven skills in account reconciliation

• Familiarity with general ledger operations

• Experience with government grants

• Proficiency in preparing and presenting financial reports.
