Rosario Brothers Agricultural Equipment Operators in Albion, New York

7 fulltime seasonal H-2A jobs available: 08/28/2024-11/25/2024.

Duties: harvest apples, bin repair, grounds maintenance and hand thinning, general Farm work, pruning trees, grafting trees. Operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (weather on or off the farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach the farm fields); and/or transport workers to the grocery store, bank, or laundry facilities on an as needed basis.

Workers are expected to work at least the number of days and hours specified. Depending on weather, crop or other conditions, workers may be requested, but not required to work up to seven days per week and/or on the Sabbath and up to 12 hours per day. Employer will furnish to workers without cost all the tools and equipment required in the performance of the duties assigned. Workers should report for work with their own suitable clothes. Field temperatures may range from below 0 to 90+ degrees (F), with possible wet morning conditions. Workers must be physically able to lift up to 75 lbs on a consistent basis throughout the day. Cell phone usage is limited to emergency use only while working in the field. Due to health & safety concerns on our farm workers must understand basic instruction in English.

Workers referred as a result of this order must have a minimum of three months of verifiable experience in performing the tasks described in his order. The activities outlined in the job description will be conducted solely on the worksite which is owned and operated by the employer.

Requirements:

  • 3 months of verifiable experience.
  • Workers must be physically able to lift up to 75 lbs on a consistent basis throughout the day.
  • Due to health & safety concerns on our farm workers must understand basic instruction in English.
  • Exposure to extreme temps.
  • Extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, frequent stooping and bending.
  • Repetitive movements.
