We are searching for a Maintenance Technician to join our agency. This position is based out of our offices in Albany, NY. The Maintenance Technician assists in service and repairs in preventative maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, sheet rocking, HVAC, electrical, grounds keeping, cleaning, and/or snow removal. The Maintenance Technician is knowledgeable of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. They work under general supervision but a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Responsibilities:

  • Performs major maintenance projects, service and repairs in the areas of preventative maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, sheet rocking, minor HVAC problems, electrical, grounds, cleaning, snow removal, vehicle maintenance, furniture moving and other duties as assigned.

  • Provide labor, skills and expertise, with a primary focus on quality workmanship, the safety, functionality and comfort of residents, participants, staff and visitors

    Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • NYS Drivers license in good standing

  • At least 1 year of job related experience, specifically in preventative maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, sheet rocking, HVAC, electrical, grounds keeping, cleaning, and/or snow removal.

  • In lieu of 1 year of experience, successful completion of a building related trade and/or technical program will be accepted

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

    Rate of pay is commensurate on experience.
